I literally just changed the windshield on my Mazda 3 in February. It all started with a small crack after the car had been left outside overnight at -27. Then, a couple of weeks after washing it, it tore almost half the glass. In a panic, I started searching through “Auto Glass Stores in Prince George, BC” and calling everyone in a row, because, honestly, I didn’t want to end up in a fly-by-night operation where they work in a hurry. In the end, I signed up at All-West Glass on Victoria Street. I’m very happy with how everything went. The first thing that was nice was their approach to the client. I left a request on the website in the evening, and they called me back in the morning, without any “wait 2-3 days.” Over the phone, they asked in detail what kind of insurance I had, the year of the car’s manufacture, and even asked for the VIN so as not to make a mistake with the type of glass. By the way, they have their own program for working with ICBC — they processed everything for me, I just showed up on the appointed day, left the keys and went to have coffee. The glass was installed in an hour and a half. I specifically asked them not to install “no-name Chinese stuff” — they offered either the original or Saint-Gobain. I chose the latter because it was well-known and was noticeably cheaper than the original. During the process, the guys also found an old glue seam that someone had slapped on — they removed it carefully and did it properly, without any extra charge, by the way. It’s a small thing, but very nice.
